This does not mean that on your machine might happen something else - but it clearly speaks against the update being defective in general. It goes up to maybe 20-30% for a short moment when I use the app, but it settles back down pretty fast. I am running 10.52 on 2 Macs, one Intel, one Apple Silicon, both on Ventura, and on both the total package of EN processes use appropriately 1% of CPU while idle.
